Spring Cleaning: Natural All-Purpose Cleaner Recipe
This recipe for DIY natural all purpose cleaner is simple and effective on any surface: countertops, tabletops, kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, rugs, and even floors. The essential oils listed have anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties and get the job done without harsh chemicals. You can use one essential oil or experiment with blends lemon mint, orange patchouli, or lavender cedarwood (my three favorites!)
You will need:
An empty spray bottle (reuse one or pick one up at the dollar store)
Castile soap (such as Dr. Bronners)
Essential Oil (see below)
1. Fill your spray bottle with warm water
2. Add 2-3 tablespoons of castile soap
3. Add 1/4 teaspoon essential oil
4. Put the spray nozzle on, shake, and clean!
B=antibacterial V=antiviral F=antifungal

NOTE: FRAGRANCE OILS ARE NOT THE SAME AS ESSENTIAL OILS! There are many cheap fragrance oils out there that are either artificially fragranced or diluted essential oils. In order to get the disinfectant power needed to get the job done, you need to use essential oils which are distilled from the plant itself. It is not necessary to use expensive high quality oils for cleaning purposes, just as long as you are using real essential oils.
